Grade F, £12,289 - £13,569 per annum pro rated

21 hours per week

Term-time plus one week

North Wootton Academy require a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide extra support to our students and staff.

To cover any teacher or class support staff absence throughout the Academy. This will include supervising whole classes to cover for the absence of a teacher and to allow for teachers to carry out professional duties and training. The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be required to manage classes and to appropriately deliver the work set by the teacher to a high standard, answering any questions to the best of their ability and keeping the pupils on task while maintaining good order.

When not covering whole classes, the Higher Level Teaching Assistant will be required to provide in class support during other colleague’s lessons, under the direction of the Senior Leadership Team. This could include supporting individual pupils, small groups or pupils with specific learning needs. There may also be a need for the provision of personal care for students with the most complex additional needs, under the direction of the SEN Co-Ordinator.
