What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an HLTA with a specialism in Mathematics, to work with students with additional learning needs. The post-holder will work with the SENCo and the Mathematics Department to provide specialist support for groups of students. They will work with teachers to plan, prepare and deliver small group interventions.
A knowledge and interest in Mathematics is essential for this role. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to meet (or be proactively working towards) the HLTA standards. The successful candidate should be proactive and be able to work both in a team and autonomously. You will need to be prepared to support whole classes or deliver to small groups/individuals, be flexible, enjoy working with young people and very importantly retain a sense of humour.
