What skills and experience we're looking for
The Link is a child and young person-centred provision which is outcome focused to ensure the continued education of students in a supportive and nurturing environment. It caters for students who, because of exclusion or other reasons, would not receive a suitable full-time education in a mainstream setting. For some students, the objective is to support them to reintegrate them back to mainstream school.
You will complement the professional work of teachers. This may involve planning, preparing and delivering some individual learning activities or short term support for whole classes. You will monitor, assess, record and report on students’ achievement, progress and development. You will also manage a team of Specialist Support Assistants including allocation and monitoring of work, appraisal and training.
You will work collaboratively with all other school staff in order to create and maintain outstanding opportunities for our students’ academic progress, care and therapeutic learning support and promotion of enrichment and life skills development. You will also work closely with the students’ families and other professionals.
