Pound Hill Infant Academy is looking to recruit a highly-motivated and innovative Higher Level Teaching Assistant who can demonstrate a love of supporting children with learning, to join their friendly and hard-working team.

The role will be to provide support for pupils’ learning throughout the academy, by facilitating group activities and working with children in classes, including covering classes, as required.​​​​​​​

The key skills and knowledge required for this role include:

  • Confidence and clear communication; the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Well-organised, resourceful and flexible, and able to think on their feet
  • A clear understanding of how children learn and how to adapt tasks to suit their needs
  • ​​​​​​​Experience in establishing positive relationships with students and the ability to empathise with their needs​​​​​​
  • To have or be working towards HLTA Qualification
