St Aidan’s CE Primary School are looking for a qualified and experienced HLTA to work under the direction of fully qualified teachers and senior leaders to cover a period of Maternity Leave.

The role will involve:

  • Covering PPA and management time
  • Delivering, assessing and amending interventions and booster sessions for pupils of all abilities
  • Delivering some break and after school interventions and clubs where appropriate and where manageable within the working hours and workload required
  • Covering staff absence
  • Supporting the wellbeing, mental health and happiness of all children in school


We are looking for:

  • A candidate who has a positive outlook and is willing to contribute to the whole life of school for the benefit of our children
  • A candidate who will treat our children with care, respect and kindness
  • A candidate who has high expectations of behaviour and achievement for all pupils including SEND
  • A candidate who has the academic ability to support with boosters and tuition in upper KS2
  • A candidate who has experience covering whole classes, delivering interventions and tuition
