  • HLTA (higher level teaching assistant)

• Contract type: Fixed term - 1 Year
• Pay scale: Point 12-15, depending on qualifications and experience

What skills and experience we're looking for

You will need to:

- Independently plan and teach groups of learners

- Run intervention sessions

- Teach phonics and speech and language catch-up programmes,

- Knowledge of the Little Wandle phonics scheme is advantageous, but not essential

- Have high expectations of pupil outcomes and progress

- Encourage excellent behaviour and act as a role model for our pupils

- Develop good relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues

- Be flexible, collaborative and supportive by helping colleagues

- Have HLTA qualifications, and be educated to GCSE pass level in English and Maths
