What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced person who understands the Primary curriculum. You will be experienced and skillful in challenging each pupil, whatever their starting point, to achieve their potential.

What the school offers its staff

St Matthew's Church of England Primary and Nursery Academy is seeking to appoint a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. We are seeking an HLTA with experience of working in Upper Key Stage 2 to join our dynamic team. Experience of leading English and mathematics interventions, as well as some experience in leading classes, would be beneficial. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a difference to the provision and development of our pupils.

St Matthew’s is a truly wonderful place to work. We are modern, spacious and well equipped, with children that are an absolute delight and an incredibly supportive community. You will be joining a highly effective school team that is genuinely committed to leaving no stone unturned in order to fulfill our vision that each and every child is able to ‘let their light shine’. The school is part of the St Christopher’s Trust - a family of 18 Church and Community Schools spanning three local authorities and providing a rich network of collaboration.

In joining St Matthew’s, you will be part of a friendly and welcoming staff team and a supportive community. You will have the opportunity to develop in an environment that has a strong focus on CPD, whatever career stage you are at. As a Church of England school, you will be happy to support the Anglican ethos through our school values.
