What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint a confident, experienced and well organised HLTA to join our friendly and supportive team from January 2024

The successful applicant will need to be flexible and able to work across the age range of 4 to 11 years. You will be expected to cover classes by delivering lessons set by the class teacher which may be part of regular PPA release, management release or staff absence.

When you are not teaching you will be expected to work throughout the school, with the opportunity to deliver small group interventions and to work closely with the most vulnerable pupils.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • Holds an HLTA qualification and have a secure subject knowledge of primary education
  • Has an interest in delivering music lesson, desirable but not essential

  • Has GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) grade C or above
  • Is motivated, hardworking and willing to join an enthusiastic team.
  • Is able to demonstrate high expectations for learning and behaviour, working within the school policies and procedures.
  • Champions children and puts their needs and well-being at the forefront of the purpose of their role
  • Is professionally discreet and able to respect confidentiality
  • Communicates well with children, colleagues and parents.
  • Shows initiative and flexibility.
  • Is positive, calm and caring and able to sensitively support children with a range of needs
  • Is passionate about our school vision, motto and values.
