What skills and experience we're looking for

Tiffield CE Primary School are looking to recruit a motivated, friendly and professional person to join our small and supportive team. On an average week you will cover Teachers PPA normally over 2 mornings or afternoons. The rest of your working week you will assist the learning across our two classes. The position is a permanent position. Ideally you will need to hold a recognised qualification for this role or have extensive experience in delivering learning. However, if you are currently working as a Teaching Assistant and are ready to undertake your Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification then you will be considered for this role. Maybe you are a teacher who has decided to step away from the pressures and responsibilities but still want to remain in a classroom setting inspiring children. We are a small team therefore you will need to be a great team player with a positive attitude and wiliness to take part in the whole school community. The role is to complement the delivery of learning within the classroom and supervise classes with the support of another Teaching Assistant during short term absence of teachers including PPA cover.

Our learning environments and teaching styles are very different from larger schools. Our classrooms are relaxed but fun. Our children are respectful and well mannered and enjoy learning. You will gain a huge amount of experience working within our school.

What the school offers its staff

Tiffield CE Primary is part of the Forest CE Federation which incorporates Gayton, Stoke Bruerne, Yardley Gobion & Whittlebury Primary Schools under the leadership of Mrs Eliza Hollis. The federation is a wonderful place to work with career opportunities and excellent professional development offered. Staff from across the federation support and value each other. Stoke Bruerne is rated as good by Ofsted, our children respect and value each other and have a thirst for learning with excellent behaviours.

Commitment to safeguarding

Due to safer recruitment the successful candidate will be appointed following a successful enhanced DBS check, medical clearance and satisfactory references.
