Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
The role is diverse and requires an experienced and well qualified staff member. Responsibilities include;
Leading Teaching and Learning within classes
Providing release time for Class Teachers and Subject leaders
Working with groups to deliver intervention and small group tutoring
Supporting children with SEND, those who are in receipt of Pupil Premium and children who have English as an additional language.
Working closely with class teachers, our existing HLTAs, our Phase Leaders, our SENCo and our Senior Leadership Team to ensure that all children in our school access a high quality curriculum and have their individual needs met to the best of our ability.

This role is for 35 hours a week. Salary Grade: Level 4A Points 11 – 15 (£25,979 - £27,803 FTE)
Morning Hours: 8:30 – 12:30
Lunch: 12:30 – 1:00 (unpaid)
Afternoon Hours: 1:00 – 4:00 (This includes 30 minute Lunch Duty supporting children to enhance their social and emotional skills, and 30 minutes end of day prep / finishing off time.)
This is a permanent role which is for term time only. The start date for the post is ‘as soon as possible’ and is dependent on the applicant appointed and any notice periods which need to be served.
