HLTA – Class Based

Victoria Primary Academy, Wellingborough, Northants

NJC Scale Point 8 to 12 (£24,702 to £26,421 FTE) (actual salary £17,924 to £19,171 per annum)

30 hours 50 minutes per week, 39 weeks per year (term time + 5 days)


We are seeking to appoint an excellent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute towards the continued success of Victoria Primary Academy and its pupils.

 

The role is to both:

·        Lead whole class teaching to cover for class teacher PPA or leadership release

·        Work with groups of pupils within the classroom and lead intervention groups outside the classroom.

Your work as part of the wider team will be integral in helping to raise standards of achievement for all pupils.

You may already have experience as a teaching assistant and be ready to step up to a more senior role. You will have a relevant Level 4 qualification and be ready to apply your knowledge in our warm and welcoming primary setting to support pupils, teachers, and the academy.  

If you have:

·        Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths

·        NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent)

·        A qualification in a relevant subject (e.g. Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards)

·        Previous experience of working as a Teaching Assistant

·        a flexible and responsive approach, with the ability to address potentially challenging situations

·        A commitment to deliver first class support to staff and pupils
