What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a teacher who:
- Has real enthusiasm for their subject and a commitment to teaching History.
- Teach engaging and challenging lessons that promote students’ abilities to learn independently and to respond effectively to feedback.
- Is able to instill in pupils a love of history.
- Is uncompromising about securing excellent progress and outcomes for all students.
- Has excellent subject knowledge
- Has a very clear understanding about how students learn effectively in History.
- Believes that history has an important role to play in the development of pupils’ skills, knowledge and understanding.
- Recognises the value of learning beyond the classroom in enhancing the understanding and experience of the world in which we live.
- Are keen to work in a school which is held in high esteem by its parents and who want further to extend this reputation for excellence.
