What skills and experience we're looking for
Duke’s Secondary School has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and committed History Teacher to join our Humanities team and deliver engaging and challenging lessons that promote a deep understanding of historical events, people, and cultures.
Whether you’re an experienced teacher or about to complete your PGCE, we offer a supportive environment where you can develop and thrive.
You will teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4 and you’ll contribute to the development of our well-established curriculum, whilst also playing a key role in nurturing a positive, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment.
Main Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons that encourage the students’ curiosity and development.
- Create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Assess students work regularly and accurately, providing constructive feedback on development areas.
- Create and maintain positive working relationships with students, parents and staff.
- Track and record student progress in line with targets.
