HLTA job summary
Belmont School is looking to recruit a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who shares our values and ethos and who will build on what we cherish and do today, whilst challenge, help shape and lead us into the future.
We are looking to appoint a committed, energetic, and enthusiastic person to join our teaching support team and work with our happy, well-behaved children.
The HLTA will complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an agreed system of supervision. HLTAs will be required to cover and lead class teaching. This will involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups or whole classes and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development. Other work may be required but will be commensurate with this grade.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to safeguarding and promoting the well-being of children. The successful candidate will be subject to a basic and enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as well as a social media check.
