HLTA/ Cover Supervisor job summary
We are seeking to recruit a Higher Level Teaching Assistant / Cover Supervisor to join our school and compliment the present school staff.
The successful candidate will have the ability and willingness to work as part of a team and offer flexibility in a classroom setting, from providing additional support to working independently with the children in the class as the lead adult. The role will also require you to provide cover for class teachers, this could be during their PPA time or in the event of absences.
They will also:
Have a minimum of a level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and a willingness to obtain a Level 4 qualification
Have an inclusive ethos with high expectations and aspirations for the pupils they work with.
Demonstrate a calm manner.
Be able to communicate effectively with home.
Be a great team worker
Have experience of working in a primary school.
Be flexible and reliable
Show good organisational skills
Be consistent in expectations of behaviours
Be caring, patient and fun
