HLTA Higher Learning Teaching Assistant job summary
Model Village Primary School and is a member of T.E.A.M. Education Trust a multi academy group striving for the best pupil outcomes where the pupils are at the heart of everything we do.
This role will be based at Model Village Primary School.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated HLTA who has Primary experience, especially in Key Stage One and Two, pastoral support, including student mental health support and engaging with relevant services.
Who will complement teachers’ delivery of the national curriculum and contribute to the development of other support staff, pupils and school policies and strategies.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist teachers in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources. Also, to supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.
Will also provide support for pupils, the teacher and the school in order to raise standards of achievement for all pupils by utilising advanced levels of knowledge and skills when assisting with planning, monitoring, assessing and managing classes, and to encourage pupils to become independent learners, to provide support for their welfare, and to support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life.
They will also provide cover for planned absences of teachers.
