Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross phase Multi Academy Trust, comprising of eight schools, six primary schools and two 11 – 16 secondary schools. The Trust is a medium sized family of schools all located within a tight geographic hub within Pontefract. Students are drawn from the local community that includes a mix of different catchment areas.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the team at Carleton High School. The candidate will be responsible for complementing the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under the direction and supervision of a teacher. They will plan, prepare and deliver learning activities for individuals/groups or short term for whole classes, and monitor pupils, assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development.

This post is a 27.5 hours per week, term time plus five days, permanent contract, equating to 195 working days per annum.

Grade 6, SCP 12 – 17 for unqualified (£22,571 - £24,920 per annum, reduced to £14,542.00 - £16,055.41 per annum due to term time working and part time hours)

Grade 7, SCP 18 – 23 for qualified (£25,419 - £28,226 per annum, reduced to £16,376.91 - £18,185.39 per annum due to term time working and part time hours)
