What skills and experience we're looking for
Support for Pupils:
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
- Establish productive working relationships with pupils, acting as a role model with positive values, attitudes, and behaviour and setting high expectations to raise their educational achievement.
- Encourage pupils to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all pupils in activities.
Support for Teachers:
- Production of lesson plans, resources, provision plans, etc, within agreed system of supervision.
- Provide objective and accurate feedback and reports as required, on pupil achievement, progress, and other educational matters, ensuring the availability of appropriate evidence.
- To follow behaviour policy to ensure discipline, anticipate and manage pupil behaviour constructively, promoting self-control, confidence and independence.
Support for the Curriculum:
- Deliver learning activities/programmes, adjusting activities, according to pupil learning styles and individual needs within agreed system of supervision.
- Support the delivery of curriculum programmes, effectively utilising all alternative learning opportunities to support extended development.
- Select and prepare resources necessary to lead learning activities, taking account of pupils’ interests, language and cultural backgrounds.
Support for the School:
* Comply with school policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, and security, confidentiality, and data protection. Report all concerns to the appropriate person.
- Be aware of and support difference and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
- Attend and participate in regular meetings as appropriate.

What the school offers its staff
Litherland Moss Primary School is an academy primary school, part of The Heath Family Multi-Academy Trust, and as such has strong links with partner primary schools across three north-west local authorities.
We are extending our nursery provision from 15 hours to 30 hours. We are looking a HTLA who will support this exciting venture. The successful applicant will initially work afternoons to run the nursery room. Our EYFS currently operate as a unit between nursery and reception.
We are looking for someone with a passion for teaching and learning, someone who believes in giving children the best school experience, helping them to develop as learners and as individuals with a strong set of values. Our children are wonderful, and they thrive when they feel well supported and encouraged. Being able to form strong nurturing relationships is essential. You will be kind, reflective, dedicated and resilient.
