What skills and experience we're looking for

Essential Qualifications

5 good GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics

A-Levels or evidence of Education at Level 3 or above

Essential Experience

Have experience of working under pressure to deadlines

Be able to evidence some experience of working under one’s own initiative

Have experience of working with children or young people

Essential Skills and Abilities

Be able to relate to young people

Be able to work as part of a team when required

Be able to supervise and support students with a range of needs

Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to staff and students within the Academy

Have good numeracy, literacy and IT skills

Have a flexible attitude to work

Have a commitment to professional development

Have excellent organisational, administrative and time management skills

Be confident and at ease working independently for large periods of the day

By personal example, be able to generate clear behaviour frameworks built on respect
