32.5 hours per week plus 1
hour for staff meeting – Term Time only
Monday – Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm
Are
you a talented teaching assistant or HLTA looking with an interest in working
with children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking to appoint a
highly motivated, patient and talented Teaching Assistant to work alongside the
SENCo to ensure that SEND and pastoral provision across the school is strong.
The
role will entail some cover, working alongside the SENCo as an assistant and
also running pastoral interventions
We
are looking for an experienced practitioner who can:
* Support
and uphold the school’s vision and values
* Work
alongside the SENCo and SLT to support pupils with SEND and pastoral needs,
ensuring their ability to access learning activities and make strong progress.
* Who
has experience of teaching whole classes and groups
* Promote
inclusion and acceptance, support diversity and ensure pupils have equal access
to learning and development.
* Support
the implementation of education plans suitable to each pupils’ learning
objectives.
* Support
children’s emotional development and resilience when approaching learning tasks.
* Work
collaboratively and supportively within the school team, making positive
contributions to all aspects of school life.
* To take a lead on pastoral
support and monitor the impact of support
* Work closely with the SENCo to
ensure appropriate referrals are made
* To support the SENCo with administration tasks ie sending reports to
professionals, scanning documents etc
* To work with the SENCo to develop and implement intervention groups and support (including delivering)
