Higher Level Teaching Assistant
27.5 hours per week
Monday - 8:45am – 3pm with a 1-hour unpaid break
Tuesday – Thursday – 8am – 3:30pm with a 1-hour unpaid break
Friday – 9am – 12pm
Flexibility regarding days per week - Inclusive of two early morning booster sessions
39 weeks per year
Grade G8 (£24,702 FTE, which is £15,774.82 per annum)
Fixed-term until July 2025, with a view to review.

St Luke’s CE Primary school is situated on the outskirts of Northampton. We are a happy school with a strong Christian ethos. We are a 2-form entry school with 420 children on roll. St Luke’s has been a proud member of Peterborough Diocese Education Trust (PDET) since 1st November 2016 and our last Ofsted inspection, September 2019, we received good against all areas.
We are excited to offer a brand-new role at our school, for a professional, passionate and knowledgeable HLTA. This role is centred around supporting the development and outcomes for our Year 5 and 6 pupils and is a unique opportunity to create real change. Through this appointment, we hope to strengthen the support we provide all children, to enable their development, both academically and emotionally. We are therefore looking to appointment someone who shares in this enthusiasm and can contribute effectively to our vision.

We are seeking someone who:
- Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly,
- Ensures all children feel safe, happy and able to learn,
- Understanding of the curriculum and pastoral needs of primary aged children,
- Able to deliver and evaluate lessons, giving feedback when needed,
- Confident in using a range of behaviour management skills,
- Ability to work effectively, flexibly and independently,
- Supportive of the ethos of a Church and Trust school.
