Full time: Two Permanent HLTAs (1 x Cognition and Learning, with numeracy speciality, 1 x Leading Interventions for Reading, Language Development & Social Interaction) Hours: 32.5 hours per week Closing Date: 23:59hrs Sunday 14th July 2024 Salary/Grade per hour: Grade E SCP 16 to 22 (£28,282 to £31,364 pro rata)

What skills and experience we're looking for

Cognition and Learning, with numeracy speciality

  • Be trained if required to monitor and provide small group interventions using Success at Arithmetic
  • Liaise with SENDCO and subject learning leader in maths to identify and support students who have maths identified as an area for development. This could include tutor time maths check in sessions with one to one or small groups. This could be student led based on individual needs to help support them make progress in the areas that they feel are their weaknesses.
  • Work as in class support for all Maths groups in year 7 so that they are being trained up alongside the teachers with intervention materials being produced as part of a national project supporting LPA student in maths in year 7.
  • Point of support and training for other TAs working within maths lessons.

Leading Interventions for Reading, Language Development & Social Interaction)

  • Be trained if required to monitor and provide small group interventions .
  • Liaise with SEND team and other colleagues to identify and support students who have reading, language development and social interaction needs.
  • Work as in class support and lead some classes and interventions in each of the areas.
