What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to recruit a Home School Link Worker to work as part of our Windale Staff Team.
The role will ensure all our children at Windale are safe, happy and able to engage in their learning. The successful applicant will work as part of our safeguarding and inclusion teams, supporting behaviour management and working with families and outside agencies.
A confident and professional attitude, excellent interpersonal skills and a high level of IT literacy with experience of Microsoft packages is required. The ability to converse at ease with members of our community is essential to the post.
Experience in a similar role would be beneficial but is not essential as the role will include training.
What the school offers its staff
Windale Primary school is situated on the outskirts of Oxford City, within Blackbird Leys and Greater Leys and sits at the very heart of the community. Your work here will have the power to transform life opportunities where it is needed most.
Windale Primary School is part of United Learning, a large and growing group of schools aiming to offer a life changing education to children and young people across England.
Our schools work as a team and achieve more by sharing than any single school could. Our subject specialists, our Group-wide intranet, our own curriculum and our online learning portal all help us share knowledge and resources, helping to simplify work processes and manage workloads for an improved work-life balance.
As a Group, we can reward our staff better: with good career opportunities and training e.g. NPQS, better pay, additional benefits and ultimately, the satisfaction of helping children to succeed.
We invest in our staff wellbeing. Our schools each have at least eight INSET days per year and an ongoing group-wide wellbeing programme. It is an ethos we call ‘the best in everyone’. We also have United Rewards, covering lifestyle and retail benefits including childcare vouchers, car lease scheme, cycle to work etc.
Commitment to safeguarding
Windale Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post involves the type of work with children and young people that requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All users are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed.
