Professional Skills and Experience

1. Possess appropriate relevant qualifications for the role.

2. Previous experience of payroll is desirable, as is experience in a similar environment. Training will be provided as necessary.

3. Ruthless attention to detail, driven and proud to deliver accurate timely work.

4. Be professional with the ability to work in a team.

5. Show evidence of continued professional development.

6. Be able to take an overview of the school and its needs.

7. Be aware of relevant payroll and safer recruitment standards and responsibilities in a school environment.

8. Be confident to provide colleagues with support in school payroll and recruitment matters.

9. Be able to manage aspects of payroll systems and record keeping.

10. Possess ICT skills commensurate with the position.

11. Possess the ability to manage workload and time and prioritise effectively. Be focussed and proactive, with the ability to act on your own initiative.

12. Good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook.

13. Ability to work to tight deadlines.

14. Self-motivated, calm and professional, and able to work efficiently in a busy environment.

15. Experience working with Strictly Education’s EduPeople portal/system would be helpful..

What the school offers its staff

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and highly motivated administrator to join the central team at Wren Academy. The successful candidate will provide assistance to the Senior HR Officer and Finance Manager and help ensure the smooth running of the Payroll and HR systems.

The successful candidate will be a key part of the HR and Finance team across the two Wren Academies, based at our Finchley site. We require someone who is forward thinking, with relevant experience, ruthless attention to detail, able to work on their own initiative and with a team and who will bring enthusiasm to the role. The role will involve working with suppliers and staff, so an ability to interact professionally on a number of levels is also important. The ability to deal appropriately with confidential and sensitive information is paramount.
