What skills and experience we're looking for

The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT) is one of the largest Multi-Academy Trusts in the South & East of England with 45 Primary, Secondary and SEN Academies in the TKAT Family.

As an HR Team, we are proud to say that we support c3500 employees across 45 TKAT Academies broken down into 6 regions. Not only will the HR Business Partner support schools within 2 TKAT regions (both Primary and Secondary), they will also lead a range of different projects and will implement the TKAT Employer of Choice Agenda.

You will work in partnership with an HR Advisor which will give you the opportunity to line manage to ensure not only are you supporting employee relation casework for your regions but also ensuring your HR Advisor is accessing career development opportunities to continue in their career path.

Working closely with the Head of HR and HR Director, this role is key in helping to strengthen capability and confidence through coaching and advising Line Managers in all aspects of HR and people practices. It is a true generalist role supporting the business areas in day-to-day activity as well as leading on wider projects. The HR Business Partner will act as a trusted advisor to support their area of the organisation through a variety of different methods with our ultimate aim is to ensure we drive educational standards through the provision of outstanding teaching, leadership and learning for all.

What the school offers its staff

From the end of March 2023, the corporate TKAT HR team are looking for TWO HR Business Partners to join the team on 12 month contracts as maternity cover.

This would be an excellent opportunity for a Senior Advisor or HR Manager already based in a school to gain wider exposure corporately and bridge the gap to a HR Business Partner role. We are an amazing team with some very special benefits so read on if this is of interest.

The ideal candidate would be required to get stuck in at all levels as it is a very operational role. You would be joining an incredibly collaborative team surrounded by people who are truly passionate about what they do with a people-centric approach to HR. The HR Business Partner would adopt this attitude and complement the supportive environment.

This could be a secondment opportunity for an existing TKAT employee who would like to gain wider exposure and to develop their expertise and confidence. If you are interested in this opportunity and would like to chat this through, please contact Emma Sheehan via 07802 721468 or emailemma.sheehan@tkat.org. We can work with your Academy to ensure this career development opportunity works for you.

Ideally we the team would be looking for a full time recruit however for the right candidate flexible working patterns would be considered, and following the pandemic and implementing effective and efficient new working ways, the teamwork hybrid which involves working from home, working from the office at least once a week and of course supporting our schools on site when required.
