What skills and experience we're looking for

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to lead a small HR team of HR professionals, within a successful Catholic multi academy trust (CMAT). The CMAT, is part of the Diocese of Nottingham and we are looking for an exceptional HR professional to drive the HR strategy of the trust and deliver outstanding centralised HR services to all our stakeholders.

Working closely with the Director of People for the three CMATs and the Executive Team at the St Thomas Aquinas CMAT, the successful candidate will drive the HR Strategy to support the workforce changes that will deliver our aim of an outstanding education for all the young people in our schools. You will manage and deliver a forward thinking, responsive and progressive HR service, whilst ensuring that all academies in the CMAT are compliant with the relevant HR policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will need to be CIPD qualified at Level 5 (or have equivalent experience), with proven HR experience, knowledge of schools’ terms and conditions of employment and experience of working with trade unions. In exchange, the CMAT are committed to provide continuous development opportunities to support career progression. Whilst being a Catholic is not a requirement for this post, you must be willing to support the Catholic Life, values and ethos in our academies.

If you would like to arrange an informal conversation with Mary Robson (HR Director) or Neil Lockyer, CEO, please contact mary.robson@nottingham-des.org.uk
