What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for a proactive, people-focused and highly organised Trust HR Manager to join our central team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and shape HR practice across our Trust, supporting school leaders and staff while driving forward key strategic projects.

In this varied and rewarding role, you will:

  • Lead on complex employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management
  • Support Headteachers and leadership teams with expert HR advice and guidance
  • Oversee safer recruitment processes and ensure compliance with safeguarding requirements
  • Manage and develop HR systems, policies and procedures across the Trust
  • Lead on major HR projects including restructures, TUPE processes and job evaluation
  • Help foster a positive, inclusive and supportive culture for all staff.

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has significant HR experience, ideally within education or a complex organisation
  • Holds (or is working towards) CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Has strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Is confident managing sensitive and complex casework
  • Can build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading change and improvement.
