HR Officer job summary

Matthew Arnold School and the Acer Trust have an exciting opportunity for a proactive and people focused HR Officer to join our team. This is a great developmental opportunity for an HR professional with good basic experience, who is looking to learn and take the next step into a varied and rewarding HR generalist role.
The HR Officer will work closely with the Trust HR Manager and The School Business Manager to deliver the school’s people strategy and fulfill our vision to work together to create great places to learn and work. You will be involved in all aspects of HR for the school, including recruitment, employee relations, wellness, performance development and administration; there will also be opportunities to undertake trust-wide HR development projects, working alongside colleagues from the six other schools in the Trust.
We are looking for someone with a strong base knowledge of HR and a passion for supporting excellent education. You will be quick and willing to learn, with strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as great attention to detail.
This is a permanent, full time, term time plus (40 weeks per year) role based at Matthew Arnold School, with occasional travel to our other schools in Oxfordshire. 
There is the option to undertake this role as an apprenticeship, to gain a qualification recognised by the CIPD. Please let us know on application if this is of interest
