Join Anglian Learning, a dynamic and forward-thinking multi-academy trust, in a pivotal role as HR Officer. With the opportunity to work alongside a solution and people-focused HR Team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated HR Officer to join us.

Reporting to one of our HR Business Partners and working with a HR Team comprised of knowledgeable professionals who are passionate about HR and school improvement, you will gain exposure and hands on experience to support your development and skills. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact, where your ideas and contributions will be valued as we work collaboratively to find pragmatic solutions to various HR challenges.

In summary, the HR Officer’s role is to:

  • As a key member of the Central HR Team, identify and deliver the people strategy in line with School/Area business plans and wider Trust strategic objectives.
  • To be the HR first point of contact for your schools including managing recruitment, HR queries, processes and procedures and some case work.
  • Support schools with HR projects and change programmes which support the Trust’s people vision and strategy.
  • Manage and co-ordinate all generalist HR matters ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and the Trust’s HR systems and operations.
  • Gather and utilise HR management information (MI) to assess trends and enable effective performance measurement and targeting of resources.

To be successful in the role you need to be pragmatic, adaptable and able to come up with creative solutions in situations where policies and processes may not apply or currently exist. We are looking for someone that is keen make their mark and offer a professional HR service to two of Anglian Learning’s secondary schools (Joyce Frankland Academy Newport and Bassingbourn Village College) along with contributing to Trust-wide projects.
