Hub Director job summary

This is a truly exciting time at DEMAT and we seeking to appoint a Hub Director to join us.

As one of the largest primary schools Trusts in the country, our 39 academies span across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Norfolk, and Suffolk. This hugely important leadership role will mean having strategic oversight of up to 5 of our academies. You will enhance, promote, and demonstrate DEMAT values and standards across the hub.

As a recognised leader, you will share our passion and belief that all children have the right to, and deserve, the highest quality curriculum, which is academic, carefully sequenced and taught by expert teachers who insist on the highest expectations of behaviour. You will support our vision for every child to flourish, to be introduced to the richness of human experience, and to understand and question the world around them.

We will be seeking a candidate that will be able to demonstrate how they have delivered a high-quality education within their school(s) through a well sequenced knowledge rich curriculum. This role enables the successful candidate to have the opportunity not only to work across a group of our schools but to excel in a role that would be career defining and extremely rewarding as part of our wider DEMAT family.

The successful candidate will;
• Improve the quality of educational standards across a group of schools
• With school leaders and governors, provide the leadership and management that enables all schools to give every pupil high quality education underpinned by Christian distinctiveness, and which promotes the highest possible standards of achievement and well-being;
• Secure the long-term success of the schools in line with the DEMAT vision by developing a knowledge-rich curriculum supported by excellent teaching practice;
• Build capacity at all levels in the schools through actively developing staff through engagement in DEMAT CPD and curriculum developments.

We are committed to providing systems of high-quality support and challenge to ensure that our school leaders develop and that our schools continually improve. Our leaders have direct links with each other, our Education Team, and our central support teams. We provide significant operational and management support, and together we are building a strong offer for professional development at each level.

Commitment to safeguarding

Our organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. We expect all staff, volunteers and trustees to share this commitment.

Our recruitment process follows the keeping children safe in education guidance.

The Church of England has been providing high quality education in England for more than 200 years.

The DEMAT promise encompasses providing the best education and life chances through nurturing our children’s values of Love, Community, Trust, Respect and Ambition.

We recognise the importance of continually improving the quality of education across our schools.

As a result, we will invest in developing our curriculum, teaching and wider provision to ensure these improvements are realised.

Our schools will give children the chance to learn, grow and make friends in a happy and inclusive environment. Most importantly, we will provide them with a firm foundation for the future and the opportunity to thrive.

We will equip children with the skills and knowledge to fulfil their potential, to build their confidence and aspirations. So, our aim is to help them understand the positive role they can play in their local communities.

Above all, we seek to instil a lifelong love of learning and to expand each child’s horizons. In addition, we will give them the tools to succeed in whatever they set their minds to.

Our vision is that children flourish and are introduced to the richness of human experience. Likewise, we want children to understand, question and contribute to the world around them.
