Due to growth and internal promotion we are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Humanities Lead for Reach Academy Feltham.
As the Humanities Lead throughout the Primary school, from Nursery upwards. You will support teachers to foster curiosity and enthusiasm in their pupils when it comes to Humanities and to ensure that they are clear on what is expected of them to deliver an outstanding Humanities Curriculum.
Within your role, you will need to work very closely with the Humanities Curriculum Director in Secondary to ensure that there is alignment across all aspects of our Humanities Curriculum. You are a key part of the team, whose job it is to ensure that the entire Primary Curriculum drives exceptional progress for all our pupils. You will take time to review, listen and improve the curriculum, always making sure that you are seeking our opportunities to learn from other schools and contexts.
You will ensure that children attend trips that inspire them and provide opportunities for them to put their knowledge into practice. You will ensure that children are really clear on both the substantive and disciplinary knowledge that they need to be great historians, geographers and theologians.
