Are you a passionate Teacher of Humanities looking to help prepare pupils for life after education?
Houghton Regis Academy is a relatively small, friendly and forward thinking secondary. Last year our results placed us as one of the most improved schools in Central Bedfordshire and we are seeking to recruit a great teacher to join our team. The Humanities Department aims to provide all pupils with an appreciation for the wider world and help them apply their life experiences to broaden their understanding.
Ofsted recently stated that ‘Teaching and Learning is improving rapidly because of powerful leadership. Students behave very well around the school, have positive attitudes towards their learning and feel safe.’ We are very optimistic about the future so if you feel inspired to be part of this journey and believe that all young people can achieve high standards, we want to hear from you.
About you:
• We want determined and enthusiastic Teachers who can;
• Teach History to GCSE level, ability to also teach Geography would be advantageous
• engage and enthuse our learners through a commitment to outstanding teaching and learning
• contribute to the further development of a strong and forward looking team
• be innovative in their techniques to motivate and inspire young people
• build positive relationships with staff, pupils and parents alike.
