Start date: September 2024 (July for ECTs)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic teacher to join our large and high-achieving Humanities faculty. We would expect teaching of PRE across KS3 and KS4, and we would welcome applicants who were keen to teach to KS5. The timetable would involve a small amount of history teaching. We welcome applications from ECTs, who would be well-supported by our excellent and very experienced Head of Department. A timetable with a greater emphasis on History than PRE is a possibility for an exceptional candidate with that preference.
Additional information about the school, and about teaching Humanities, can be found on our website https://roundwoodpark.co.uk/philosophy-religion-ethics/
Our OFSTED grading has recently been confirmed as Outstanding (November 2023) and the inspection team have written that:
‘Staff, including Early Career Teachers, say that they are very well supported. Staff feel valued. They have high praise for how leaders look after the staff’s well-being and their workload.’
‘A school of exceptional quality.’
‘Pupils meet leaders’ exceptionally high expectations for their work, personal development and behaviour.’
‘A highly ambitious curriculum is in place for all pupils. A broad and rich curriculum prepares pupils exceptionally well.’
