Humanities Teacher job summary

Wixams Academy seeks an inspiring Humanities teacher who develops students’ passions and curiosities and helps them think deeply about the world through various lenses of history, literature, and media. We want our students to find their voices and express their ideas confidently through the spoken and written word. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working and passionate teacher.   You will be required to teach Geography, History and PSHE across the age and ability range through year 7 to 11 as the school expands.  You will be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in students’ learning, work and conduct.

Wixams Academy opened its doors in 2017, and in September 2022, we opened our Sixth Form, and so this is a great opportunity for you to join a growing school and have a real impact on the education of the young people in Wixams.  

Start Date: January or April 2024

Salary range: MPS  - UPS also considered
