Cathedral Schools Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled ICT technician to join a dynamic and proactive ICT team. You will predominantly be working at a single site within the Trust, working with the Site ICT Technical lead and Trust ICT Director, ICT team, as well as independently. You will need to be flexible to work across multiple school sites in Bristol, as such the successful candidate will need to hold a valid UK driving licence.

You will be providing remote and face to face technical support in line with the Trust's ICT support service to allow the effective use of ICT by both staff and students. You will also provide advice and training to improve both their understanding of ICT and their experience of its use, diagnosing and troubleshooting problems as required. This means that you will need to be able to build positive relationships to clearly communicate technical issues to non-specialists and be able to guide staff and students through steps needed to resolve issues.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate initiative to deal with unexpected situations during the school day and have excellent organisational skills. You will need to be able to work under pressure, to deadlines, whilst maintaining a sense of humour.

Ideally the successful candidate will have proven experience in an IT environment, with hands-on experience of 1st or 2nd line IT support and maintaining customer relationships. The successful candidate will demonstrate the capacity to troubleshoot in a logical and calm manner. It is essential the candidate has the drive to learn and develop within this role, our team values the ability to progress more than pre-existing skills.
