What skills and experience we're looking for
In this key position, you will be supported by Medhurst IT but will be the ‘go to’ person in school. Your primary duties will be to:
- To investigate, diagnose and provide first-line support in all IT matters, seeking assistance from the Trust’s external provider, Medhurst IT.
- To provide technical support to teachers during teaching periods and to support them in the use of IT-based activities with students.
- To provide assistance to groups of students in the use of IT.
- To service staff/student requests for IT support or equipment repair expediently.
The successful candidate will contribute to the positive ethos of the school and will:
- Have a good standard of general education including GCSE English & Maths
- (or equivalent)
- Have an IT/Computer Science Qualification or equivalent
- Have knowledge of IT Systems
- Have experience of working in a school or office environment
- Have experience of delivering first line support to users using telephone, email and face to face settings.
- Possess an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a team
- Have an adaptable and flexible attitude
- Be a good communicator with the ability to clarify and explain instructions clearly
- Have well-developed interpersonal skills
- Empathise with our students and be sympathetic to their needs.
