Job summary

We are seeking to recruit an additional technician to join our IT Support Team to deliver a high-quality service to our students and staff. The IT Support Team is small but carries out a wide range of duties from 1st and 2nd line support to manual handling and working at heights. It is therefore essential that the successful candidate has a flexible, “can-do” attitude. As an IT Technician, you will be expected to take a pro-active role in delivering a high-quality technical support service under the direction of the Network Manager.

The successful candidate will need to be an excellent communicator with staff, students, parents, and suppliers. The academy consists of 150 staff and 870 students, there approximately 400 computers across nine dedicated IT suites, classrooms, and offices. Additionally, there are a range of laptops, projectors, tablets and printers. We support a range of generic and education specific software applications so detailed knowledge of Microsoft is essential.

You will be comfortable with prioritising and organising your own workload, confident in your ability to deal with technical issues at a 1st and 2nd line support level, and able to work calmly under pressure.
