ICT Technician job summary
The successful candidate will need to be proficient in the following areas:-
- Managing and maintaining the school network, including managing network user accounts
- Maintaining the school network infrastructure and carrying out routine network maintenance tasks
- Configuring images and standard installation of computers and laptops
- Maintaining network back ups
- Ensuring anti-virus software is installed, kept up to date and is working properly
- Managing all ICT resources, software and equipment to meet the curriculum and administrative needs to the school
- Managing school servers
- Installing new software and making available to all users
- Maintaining secure storage and recording of media, licences, manuals and installation information
- Maintaining driver and software library
- Maintaining computer peripheral equipment
- Arranging and carrying out repairs
- Assisting in sourcing external bodies for procurement quotations
