ICT Technician job summary

We are currently seeking to appoint to the permanent post of ICT Technician. Applications are invited from ICT technicians with experience to join our team. Under the guidance of the Senior Network Manager, you will be providing technician support across the Trust. 


Experience of working in an ICT environment is required, as is the ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and effectively to a diverse range of audiences. We are looking for selfmotivated, highly organised, reliable individuals. You will have a dedicated work ethic working alongside teaching and support staff, supporting the full range of ICT systems. This role provides an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop their IT knowledge and develop their career in a growing multi academy trust. 

Main responsibilities: 

 • Provide support and guidance to staff and students on the use of the school’s ICT systems 

 • To support teaching and learning in the general running of the ICT rooms to ensure lessons are efficiently serviced 

 • Troubleshoot software and hardware 

 • Installation of software and hardware A working knowledge of Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, Microsoft Office, Office 365, networking and hardware would be advantageous, but training and support will be provided for the right candidate.
