Salary: Grade 9 SCP 24 - 27 £33,024 - £35,745 FTE, Actual Salary: £30,458.84 - £32,968.49 + AET Wellbeing Cash Plan + Pension Scheme (LGPS) + Additional AET Benefits
Hours: 37 hours a week, 39 weeks per year, plus 15 days

Greenwood Academy is a vibrant, successful 11-18 Academy situated in the heart of Castle Vale. We currently have 950 pupils on roll and are growing every year. As an Improving Attendance Leader, you will be crucial in enhancing school attendance by working closely with students and their families. Your primary responsibility will be implementing effective interventions tailored to individual needs, ensuring every student can access their full educational entitlement. You will monitor and track attendance and punctuality, deploying appropriate support to align with the school's strategic aims.
Key Responsibilities:
* Student and Family Engagement: Collaborate with students and their families to identify barriers to attendance and develop strategies to overcome them.
* Intervention Implementation: Design and execute impactful interventions tailored to individual student needs, promoting regular attendance.
* Monitoring and Tracking: Keep detailed records of attendance patterns, identify at-risk students, and initiate timely interventions.
* Support Deployment: Utilise various resources and support mechanisms to enhance overall attendance and punctuality in line with school policies.
* Strategic Alignment: Ensure all activities and interventions support the school's strategic goals for attendance and educational success.
About You:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and possess the following:
* Experience: Previous experience in an educational or pastoral role focused on attendance improvement is desirable.
* Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and staff.
* Approach: A proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to tailor interventions to individual needs
* Commitment: A dedication to fostering an inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically and personally.
