Inclcusion Higher Level Teaching Assistant job summary
The successful applicant will work alongside our SENCO, a full time Inclusion Manager and Inclusion Lead to champion the wellbeing and outcomes of our pupils. The post holder will undertake work and support programmes to facilitate the inclusion of pupils and will work with a range of children on both a one-to-one and small group work basis. - be effective in offering professional challenge as well as support to their team
- show both creativity and resilience in approaching challenges
- have a background that includes experience and understanding in some aspects of counselling, youth work, social work or similar
- have experience of working effectively with primary-age SEMH and SEN pupils
- know a range of motivational teaching and learning strategies to engage pupils
- be experienced in specialist behaviour management strategies and TIS/THRIVE
- be confident in using technology to support their role
- have strong organisational skills and be able to use their initiative to work autonomosly within agreed parameters to meet deadlines
- be ambitious and keen to make a difference at Archbishop Benson School
