Inclusion Advisor job summary
The Inclusion Advisor works with mainstream schools in Wandsworth to help them identify pupils at risk of exclusion and to consider strategies to enable the schools to be inclusive whilst managing the pupils’ challenging behaviours. The inclusion advisor attends Pastoral Support Plan (PSP) meetings for pupils at risk of permanent exclusion at the invitation of the school, and collects data, enabling them to monitor the borough-wide inclusion process. They may also support schools in sourcing an engaging external support and alternative provision for pupils. In addition, they may work with PRU pupils who find it difficult to engage. The Inclusion Advisor also works closely with senior staff at the PRU to ensure information is shared in relation to dual registration and reintegration.

The person appointed will have Qualified Teacher Status and will have registered with the GTC.
