Inclusion Early Intervention Mentor job summary

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and capable Early Intervention Mentor to work in conjunction with the Inclusion team to coordinate the school’s support for vulnerable children where behaviour may be impacting on their learning. The Early Intervention Mentor will share responsibility for managing our Reset Room to provide support and structure to enable students to access their learning and be successful. Our Reset Room is a safe space where students go if there are unable to manage in the classoom/ school environment. Our Reset Room is part of our whole school behaviour for learning policy which can be found on the policies page of our website here.
You will have a good level of English and Maths, as well as experience of working with individuals and groups of students, ideally in a school setting. You will be a resourceful and flexible person with a positive mind set, and with the ability to inspire students and remain calm under pressure. You will need to have high expectations of the students and yourself and be self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being an effective team member.
