Hollickwood Primary School, Muswell Hill, London, N10 2NL
Closing date: 10th June
Interview date: 22nd June 2022
Hollickwood Primary School is a one form entry school, within the diverse community of Muswell Hill. We provide a broad and balanced education for children aged 3-11. We aim to provide a rich, varied, stimulating educational experience for all of our children underpinned by our core values. Our children are well-behaved, extremely motivated, responsive and eager to learn!
We work closely as a team to support each other, to share skills and ideas, and to involve parents in our educational partnership. We pride ourselves on providing a warm and inclusive environment, where our children are supported by a team of skilled and dedicated staff.
Having recently undergone a change in leadership, the school is looking for a highly skilled and dedicated inclusion lead to continue to drive school improvement. We would love to welcome a dedicated and committed practitioner to join our happy and supportive team - someone who shares our vision of an inclusive school where all learners can achieve their full potential.
As a school, we are currently in a supportive partnership with a local federation which affords us plenty of opportunities to coach and guide the successful candidate. In addition, the link with these schools opens avenues for future professional development and career enhancement.
Visits to the school are welcomed and encouraged, during which I would be only too pleased to talk about any particular queries you may have. Appointments can be made via the school office.
We are looking for an inclusion lead who:
• Has high expectations for all
• Understands the importance of quality feedback
• Can develop positive learning behaviour in children
• Supports collaborative learning
• Wants to work with peers to enable ongoing improvement.
Completed application form should be returned to the school at: office@hollickwood.barnet.sch.uk.
This school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
The successful applicant's appointment will be subject to pre-employment checks and satisfactory clearance by the Disclosure Barring Service (formerly Criminal Records Bureau).

Hollickwood School is a very special place for children to learn and grow.
Our aim is to build a strong caring partnership between home and school because children achieve their best when parents and teachers work together.
School ethos
We believe that everyone is unique and has something special to offer, and that learning should always be fun.
School aims
The governors and staff are determined that Hollickwood School will provide high quality, well organised education within a broad and balanced curriculum. The school aims to realise the potential of every single pupil, and will provide the best possible educational opportunities to the wider community by:
• Continuously developing and sustaining a stimulating atmosphere.
• Ensuring that each pupil reaches their full potential and develops the self-confidence and self-discipline necessary to become responsible, caring adults.
• Promoting a sense of partnership between staff, pupils, parents and the wider local community.
• Maintaining non-selective admission criteria.
As a small school each child soon comes to know and is known well by the staff. We are fortunate to have six teaching assistants and one learning mentor who are always available to support the children throughout the school day. A quote from our recent Ofsted report reinforces this welcoming and personal aspect of the school:
“Pupils feel safe and relationships between staff, pupils and parents are strong, creating a
happy and welcoming community. This is seen in pupils’ thoughtful behaviour around the
school and in the way pupils work together in lessons.”
