Inclusion Manager - Meridian House job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for an inclusion manager to join our team at Meridian House! You will play a key role in managing the successful operations of the inclusion team and provide a safe, calm and appropriate learning environment for students.

Meridian House is a new approach to appropriate provision in mainstream schools. It is located on the site of Sharnbrook Academy, a bespoke provision for students who are enrolled at either Lincroft Academy, Sharnbrook Academy or The Ferrers School. The aim of Meridian House is to work with students in a therapeutic setting, reduce preventable exclusions and improve the quality of education for students who have experienced ongoing difficulty in their main school setting. The vision and belief are for all young people to leave school with the skills, values, aptitudes and capabilities necessary to realise their full potential and allow them to fully contribute to society.

Meridian House, aims to collectively ensure that all students develop academically, personally, socially and emotionally so that they can be successful both at school and beyond.

The opportunity:

  • Manage the inclusion provision and providing academic support and appropriate pathways for children.
  • Be responsive to challenging behaviours of children and provide valuable support and guidance.
  • Promote and secure a positive learning environment for all students.
  • Montior the attendance of students and ensure regular communication with the attendance officer.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience of working with young people in an advisory capacity.
  • High level of personal organisation skills.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills to effectively influence students.
  • Be a team player, with a ‘can do’ solution focused attitude.
  • Possess outstanding communication skills and personal integrity.
