In the November 2012 inspection, Ofsted graded the school "Outstanding". Our ‘Outstanding Teacher’ programme supports this and allows all teaching staff access to excellent training and development resources. Mentoring is provided for new/existing teachers, along with extensive CPD opportunities.
Support staff also perform an essential service for the school and work alongside teaching staff to maintain and develop effective administrative functions.
All staff have opportunity to contribute to the planning and development of the school in a variety of areas.
Inclusion - SEND Teacher (Literacy) job summary
A highly professional, enthusiastic and committed colleague is required to work with our students who require additional support. Relevant training and the ability to lead on the teaching and learning of students, who, on entry in Year 7, have low attainment, would be desirable. Applicants must have QTS, appropriate experience and specialist qualifications / skills.
Personal confidence and creativity that results in measurable progress for our students who find learning more difficult is essential. The ability to work with colleagues to advise on differentiation, strategies and resources would also be an advantage.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All posts are subject to a DBS enhanced certificate.
