As a School Inclusion Support Worker ISW at this school in Huddersfield, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and help our pupils navigate the path to a better future. As an ISW you will have sensitivity, understanding, patience, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, alongside excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- Getting the classroom ready for lessons
- Developing supportive relationships with students and encouraging their inclusion
- Assessing, monitoring, and recording students' progress, health, behavior, and wellbeing
- Creating and implementing behavior management plans ensuring pupils plans are updated
- Taking the lead on specific activities and sessions - Adapting teaching materials and strategies to accommodate individual students' requirements
- Providing learning routines at school, in the community and in the family home
THE CANDIDATE
- Experience in a school or similar setting with younger people
- IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEMH needs
- Educated with GCSE Math's and English or equivalent OR willingness to undertake (salary reflective if criteria not met)
- Car driver with access to own vehicle OR willingness to learn
SALARY/ HOURS
Starting salary for a ISW Inclusion Support Worker is £21,903.70 actual annual salary working 32.5 hours per week Mon-Fri term time only + 5 inset days + amazing benefits working for our Wellspring trust which can be found on the trust website www.wellspringacademytrust.co.uk/careers
