Inclusion Teacher job summary
We are seeking to appoint a Qualified Teacher to work within our new inclusion centre opening September 2022 at The Portsmouth Academy.
The Centre is closely linked with the Rainbow Fish Inclusion Centre based at Penhale Infant School. Both Centre’s support children with complex cognition and learning difficulties, who have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP). The children will be integrating into mainstream for some learning, with a high level of support to meet their specific needs from the provision staff. Our curriculum centres on each child as an individual, looking at their starting points and next steps.
We would warmly welcome applications for teachers with a primary background who are looking to experience working with older students.
It is an exciting time to be joining the hardworking and committed staff at The Portsmouth Academy, our brand new Aspire building launched in September 2020 boasting excellent facilities and panoramic views of the city, as well as additional refurbishment in the existing building.
