Safeguarding | Be keenly aware of the responsibility for safeguarding children and to help in the application of the Safeguarding and Safe Practices policy within the school. Comply with the school’s Safeguarding Policy in order to ensure the welfare of children and young persons. |
Job Purpose:
To support the work of the AHT Ethos and Culture in enabling students to develop strategies to be effective learners in mainstream lessons
To coordinate with curriculum teams and support curriculum learning for students in the provision
To deliver a programme of strategies for effective learning behaviours
To support students to return to mainstream lessons
To support teachers with strategies to help return to mainstream lessons
To update pupil profiles with strategies for success in lessons
Principal Responsibilities
Operational & Quality Assurance:
The day to day management, control and operation of our inclusive provision, including effective oversight of student timetables and learning arrangements and positive behaviour strategy provision
To work with the AHT Ethos and Culture and Deputy Head staffing and curriculum to monitor student progress in the provision
To implement school policies and procedures, including Health and Safety, and ensuring risk assessments are in-line with national requirements
Curriculum Provision and Development:
To work with curriculum teams and teachers to ensure students continue to learn the curriculum while in the provision
Communications:
To ensure effective and regular communication with class teachers
To communicate with families
To contribute to the staff bulletin with relevant information
Care, Guidance and Support:
To safeguard and promote the welfare of students
To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students in the provision
To monitor attendance of students in the provision
