Individual Needs Assistant (INA) job summary
Our experienced Head teacher and his supportive senior leadership team are looking for an individual needs assistant to support identified pupils with SEND in our Reception class from January. This is a fixed term contract from January until August with the possibility of the contract being extended. We have a vastly experienced and stable teaching team who provide the best care and guidance to our children, and we are looking for a friendly, committed individual to join us.

We have a substantial school site and extensive facilities, complete with a school nursery. We have a large staff team, and, more importantly, wonderful pupils. Our dedicated and enthusiastic team strive for the best for all children, demonstrated by achieving our excellent end of Key Stage 2 results in 2023 - the number of pupils in Year 6 who were working at or above the expected standard in reading, writing and maths was above the national average, with 90% of pupils achieving the expected standard in reading. We are also proud to have recently become the first “Ambassador School” in an urban setting for the South Downs National Park which means we are a outdoor learning hub for schools from the city and beyond to access learning opportunities about the landscape, heritage and wildlife of the South Downs.

Moulsecoomb Primary School is an Academy within the City of Brighton and Hove, located on The Highway, Lewes Road, minutes walk from Moulsecoomb train station and excellent bus links.
